We aspire to nurture a university community where people connect and collaborate across disciplines to benefit the society. A new extension of the campus will be much more than the simple sum of faculties and facilities. It will be a hub of merging the profound knowledge with technological innovations and ecological sustainability. Creating responsive infrastructure to support the University’s research, teaching and learning missions is a significant step in the University’s continued success as a community of learning and discovery.
4 Cs’ Concept
The 4Cs’ concept is adopted in the new campus development to facilitate different stakeholders’ needs and advancements.
Healthy and Smart Building
Our aim is not only to build a high-technology infrastructure, but also to establish a healthy campus hub with 9 foundational elements to achieve the first batch of “Healthy Buildings” accredited by World Health Organization (standard yet to be established).
The iconic building and landscaping will improve the streetscape at the Pokfulam Road and Pokfield Road junction and enhance the ambience of the surrounding neighbourhood.
The development will adopt state-of-the-art, environmentally-friendly construction methods such as prefabricated construction and non-percussive type foundation. The use of innovative technologies aims to achieve the international standard on healthy building, and the entire development will meet the latest environmental standard of the construction industry.
